Junior Dos Santos will face off against Roy Nelson at the UFC 117. This is a very important fight, because whoever takes this win, will most likely face off against Brock Lesnar, that is if Brock beats Velasquez. Either way, a winner of this fight, will have a very good chance to get their paws on the Heavyweight belt, so this will be a fun fight to watch.
Dos Santos finished his two last fights in the first round, annihilating his opponents. He also was awarded the KO of the night when he embarrassed Gabriel Gonzaga. Its very clear that Junior has his sights on the top of the Heavyweight chain, and Roy Nelson is his next step to get there. Should be interesting as Junior likes the stand-up while Nelson loves to take people to the ground. Dos Santos will have to step up his sprawl defense and make sure he can do what he does best, knock Nelson out.

Roy Nelson is the winner of TUF Season 10 and even though he don’t look it, the man can fight. He uses his weight to his advantage, and he is surprisingly fast. He is an experience MMA fighter and anyone facing him should be ready for a battle.
Nelson will have his toughest fight to date when he faces off against Junior Dos Santos at UFC 117. While Nelson is heavier of the two, he is 4 inches shorted the Dos Santos, so he will have to be ready for Junior’s reach advantage. We expect Roy Nelson to take this fight to the floor, where he excels.

UFC 117 fight card is packed with some excellent fights. The main fight is Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen and it is expected to be a great showdown. This is a Middleweight Championship fight, which is nothing new for Silva, but for Sonnen its a completely different story. He is hungry and believes that he can beat Silva. Sonnen made several comments about how he is sick of Silva’s reign, and that Anderson hasn’t really fought anyone worthy in the last several fights. Sonnen will have to back up his trash talk in the octagon, and we surely hope this fight delivers.
