Frankie Edgar came into the UFC 112 as the underdog. After all, he was facing the champ, the Prodigy! Frankie’s last loss was almost exactly two years ago and he had no intention of repeating that. He defeated BJ Penn!
Throughout the whole fight, Frankie was circling Penn, showing his amazing quickness. During the 5 rounds, he didn’t slow down one bit, and whenever BJ Penn tried to get into his rhythm, there were Frankie’s fists to greet him. After each round, you could see Penn’s face was getting worse and worse. Even though there was no clear sign how much Edgar was hurting Penn, something didn’t look right with BJ. The last round was the deciding factor for Penn. Known to explode at his opponents towards the end, Penn wasn’t able to do so against the relentless Frankie Edgar.
You could see the results of the fight in Penn’s face before the unanimous decision was announced. Frankie Engar simply put a whooping on the champ, and he didn’t even look tired.
This is the shirt that Frankie wore at the event. We are sure there will be more of them, this time with his name on them. Edgar solidified his position in the UFC as one of the best MMA fighters today, and we highly doubt he is leaving any time soon.
