Junior Dos Santos defeated Shane Carwin without much struggle at the UFC 131 event. You have to give credit to Carwin as well though, he was able to reach the end of the fight without getting knocked out. Dos Santos and his deadly jab was no match for Shane and his bloody wreck of a face. It would have been very interesting to see how this fight would have turned out if Brock Lesnar was able to fight. We really hope that this fight can still happen, but for now, Dos Santos has his eyes on the belt, and he will have to go through Cain Velasquez to get it. We cannot wait, and are rooting for Dos Santos. How can you not like the guy? One of the nicest people in MMA, seriously!

Georges St. Pierre is in the big leagues now, being the first MMA fighter signed by one of the major athletic companies Under Armour. This is a big deal to any MMA fighter, as the doors to bigger and better endorsements might be coming their way as well. This will help the sport grow, and reach more and more people worldwide. Hopefully there will be more MMA Shirts coming from Under Armour soon. Very exciting indeed.

UFC 128 event gave us a new Light Heavyweight Champion in Jon Bones Jones. He defeated Shogun Rua in what seemed to be a complete domination. Rua just couldn’t get into the rhythm, and Jon Jones took every opportunity and was capitalizing on his chances. Jon Jones dominated on his feed and on the ground, eventually ending the fight with TKO in round 3. Jon Jones is the youngest UFC champion ever, and has proven himself to be one of the top MMA fighters in the world.
