Kenny Florian will be facing off against Gray Maynard at the UFC 118 on August 28th, 2010. This fight is no regular fight, as the winner will become the #1 contender for the UFC Lightweight Championship Belt. If Kenny wins, he will have to face off against either BJ Penn or Frankie Edgar, who are also fighting at this event.
It is hard not to root for Kenny, as he has been one of the most respected fighters in UFC, and not just because of his excellent MMA skills. Kenny is involved other aspects of the sport, ranging from commentating fights, making appearances on national TV as a spokesman for MMA, and opening a mixed martial arts academy in Brookline, Massachusetts.

While Nelson is heavier of the two, he is 4 inches shorted the Dos Santos, so he will have to be ready for Junior’s reach advantage. UFC 117 fight card is packed with some excellent fights. The main fight is Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen and it is expected to be a great showdown. This is a Middleweight Championship fight, which is nothing new for Silva, but for Sonnen its a completely different story. He is hungry and believes that he can beat Silva. Sonnen made several comments about how he is sick of Silva’s reign, and that Anderson hasn’t really fought anyone worthy in the last several fights. Sonnen will have to back up his trash talk in the octagon, and we surely hope this fight delivers.

Gerard Mousasi is already an icon in MMA and he is only 24. He has won his last 15 straight fights, dating all the way back to 2006. According to some sources, he is the sixth best light heavyweight fighter in the world. He is currently the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion and he will be defending his title at Strikeforce even in Nashville on April 17, 2010.
Mousasi will face up against another really good MMA fighter who has a perfect MMA record, Mahammed Lawal. Lawal’s experience however is not as good as Mousasi’s, therefore we think that Gerard will most likely keep his winning streak alive.

This is huge news to any MMA fan out there! Finally we will get to see Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans slug it out in the octagon, during UFC 114 on May 29th 2010.
Since we all watched these two bitch at each other on every single episode of The Ultimate Fighter, we know how much these two hate each other. Rampage even said that he wants to beat on Evans more than he did on Wanderlei Silva.
